Our story
We had started keeping dogs in 90s. Wolfspitz Darina Vlčí skála (Wolf Rock) was our first pet. She was excellent in type and coat, very good in work, however we had to stop showing her because of light eyes. She has left us in her nearly 18. It took us a while to recover from her passing away. We have moved to flat after that, so we were looking for some smaller not shedding breed. The cairn terriers were on a short list and once we saw a picture of Kamei Sparkling Hearts running wild in the snow regardless of her advanced pregnancy, it was settled. That’s how her son Dan (Danaos Hoity Toity Gang) came to us. After two years, we have decided to procure him a companion from Kamei’s last litter, and it was Tchert (Čert = devil in Czech, Ganymedes HTG). Both boys were very successful in the show ring, completing many championships including the German ones, and both become interchampions. They are also proud fathers of several litters with successful offsprings both in Czechia and abroad, e.g., Finland, the Netherlands . After the covid break, we had started to think about a newcomer into our ageing little pack. Finally, with the help of a breeder of our boys, Lucka Vynikalová, we have succeeded to bring a “Scandinavian blood”. We took a short, nice vacations in northern Denmark and picked up a lovely baby from the Nordcairn kennel named Despacito and nicknamed him Dippie (abbreviated to Dipp as he gets older). We hope that he will follow success of his pack buddies both in the show ring and in mating. But above all, in a good health.
By chance, we live now close to places called “Devil’s Wood” and “Devil’s Hole” (“Čertův les” and ”Čertova díra” in the Czech spelling), so we have named our pack accordingly.
